The goal of every reading project is to make learners interested in reading books and enjoy them. It is not about complex literary analysis but rather an invitation to ask questions, to “meet” interesting characters and to see the world through different perspectives.
Thus class 3B was asked to read the book “Ricky and the American Girl” and to present their thoughts on it in class in different ways: as a “story in a bag”, a character analysis or a “story on the clothes line”. Each task encouraged the young readers to read a story and to deal with it in a creative way of their choice. The results were lovely indeed.
